Publication Charges

The Journal of Ayurveda Academia (JAA) applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to support editorial handling, peer review, and publication processes.

Note: APC will be applicable to all submitted articles except invited articles.

With effect from 01 January 2026, the fee structure is as follows:

For Authors from India

  • APC: ₹3,000

For Authors from SAARC Countries

  • APC: $100 USD

For Authors from Other Countries

  • APC: $200 USD

The APC is payable after acceptance of the manuscript and prior to publication.

The journal is committed to promoting quality research and may consider requests for concession or waiver of APC in deserving cases. Such decisions remain at the sole discretion of the journal authorities.

Payment of APC must be completed only after the manuscript is accepted for publication.

  • Authors will receive detailed payment instructions (bank details / online payment options) along with the acceptance notification.

  • The manuscript will proceed for final publication only after successful confirmation of payment.

  • Authors are advised to retain the payment receipt/transaction proof for future reference.

Refund Policy

The journal maintains a no-refund stance once an Article Processing Charge has been paid — this holds true regardless of the circumstances surrounding the request, and authors are encouraged to carefully review all policies before initiating payment. However, the policy does account for genuine payment errors: if an author accidentally overpays or submits a duplicate payment, that excess amount won't be lost. Instead, it will be credited and adjusted against a future submission to the journal, provided the author notifies the editorial office of the discrepancy in a timely manner.

There are also specific situations in which no refund will be issued under any condition — these include cases where an author chooses to withdraw their manuscript after payment, instances where plagiarism is later discovered in the published or submitted work, and situations involving legal disputes of any kind. Authors are therefore strongly advised to finalize their decision to publish, and to ensure the originality and accuracy of their work, before proceeding with payment.
