An extensive meta-analysis was conducted to systematically compile and interpret references to Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus Willd) across the foundational Ayurvedic treatises—Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, Ashtanga Hridaya, Kashyap Samhita, Bhela Samhita, Harita Samhita, and Sharangadhara Samhita. The objective was to elucidate the formulation , therapeutic roles, and route of administration attributed to this revered plant, traditionally known as the “Queen of Herbs.” The analysis integrates classical knowledge with interpretations from textual research, highlighting Shatavari’s continuity of use from antiquity to contemporary Ayurvedic practice in various forms.
